Masculinity and Men's Mental Health
What are your Thoughts
What do you think
?
Is there a connection between a low sense of personal masculinity and mental health challenges?
Could there be a connection between male self-loathing and addiction?
Do you reckon there is some connection between deep, old anger, and bowel cancer?
Is there some connection between a feeling of being trapped in life, emasculated by life, and prostate cancer?
Or is there some connection between living in a sense of pretense of who we imagine we should be, and anxiety?
Perhaps a connection between a deep sense of emptiness and a loss of connection to nature.
Is there a connection between deeply low levels of self-worth and domestic violence?
Is there a seemingly invisible link between feelings of worthlessness and male suicide?
Maybe a link between no sense of purpose and feelings of being useless?
Do you contemplate a possible link between a breakdown in relationships arising from a loss of connection due to a hidden porn addiction?
Or is there a connection between hidden, deeply humiliating financial mistakes, caused by overspending, bad business decisions or gambling, and men going completely “off the rails” in so many ways?
What do you really think?
When did we stop the process of mentoring young men to become stable, responsible and deeply ethical men?
Did you know that in some suburban football clubs, over 80% of players use cocaine? It is cheap and readily available. The young guys coming into that team get introduced early.
Did you know that, on average, 7 men in Australia die from suicide daily. Many more die from preventable cancers and cardiovascular disease.
Are you open to turning things around in your workplace?
What would your workplace be like if all your men stepped into becoming who they really could be?
