Great article John and yes the solution is pretty simple hey. It’s so true that making mistakes, learning, forgiveness and evolvement are the things that get lost as the extreme left works hard to impose its world view on others. I like your list of four major fears, although I think concerns about China are valid because they heading down a path that is pretty scary. There will be a huge loss of freedom for many people if they achieve their aims.
I hear you Sean. However, I gather one of the faults of the last couple of generations is that we have failed to listen to the wisdom of our elders. There are very few in politics, or government for that matter, who understand military strategy and war history like Keating. It has been a life long passion for him. The other question I have on this is one that floats around in my space and it is intriguing. "Why has China not taken Taiwan?" The possibility has been discussed since before the turn of the century, yet nothing but a bit of sabre rattling.
I think they're working steadily toward it in their usual gradient way. They're building up serious military power, have become aligned with Russia and more recently Saudia Arabia, and now have Macron effectively giving the green light. If America continues its fast decline the conditions could well become right for a take over.
I hear you mate. I've been looking at it from so many angles. You could well be right. But I still can't see them pulling it off. Let's hope that they turn their attention toward fixing their own internal problems. Perhaps all countries could well be served to take that approach. We live in Interesting times, but as my old friend Jamie Hayes says, "These are the Good Old Days" because at some point in the future, that is how we will describe this time.

Paul Keating had a lot to say about China at the National Press Club recently. It is an hour worth watching. https://youtu.be/Z2lQvFTmMxU
I love PJK and what he did for Australia in the 80s and 90s, but unfortunately I think his world view is a little stuck back there. 😉

Well Sean. For all our sakes, I hope that is not the case.
Me too

As is usual JT, our contemplations are 100% in sync. We are joined at the navel and ty as usual for sharing them with me.
